On September 21st, 2006 Corder was a Visiting Artist at Swarthmore College, his alma mater. He got to speak to Celia Reisman's senior workshop and Brian Meunier's foundation class. Also in attendance were professor Randall Exon, who introduced the artist, and Charlotte Greenewalt '91. Corder got the chance to show images of his work, of that of his late mentor, the Senegalese artist Ousseynou Sarr, and to talk about life as a professional artist post-Swarthmore. Also discussed was the importance of traveling abroad, making a studio wherever you are, and the pros and cons of the MFA. Afterwards, Corder had the opportunity to critique students work one on one.
